Impact of Diet on Cancer Treatment

The research of Dr. Gilda Hillmanat, at the Karmanos Cancer Institute at Wayne State University's School of Medicine, has shown that changing a person's diet can make cancer more treatable. In a process called "sensitization," it seems that food components such as soy, garlic, fish oil or others have the potential to make cancer cells more radiosensitive and chemosensitive.
